We are seeking experienced professionals to guide IAACE's next chapter of growth, advocacy, and community impact.
IAACE Advisors provide strategic guidance, industry expertise, and community leadership to advance our mission of supporting Asian American civil engineers and Asian-owned businesses within the civil engineering industry in Illinois and beyond.
This is a voluntary, unpaid leadership role for professionals who are passionate about diversity, equity, inclusion, and professional excellence in civil engineering.
Candidates should meet one or more of the following criteria:
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or equivalent credential in civil engineering or a related discipline
Owner, principal, or senior leader of a civil engineering or infrastructure-related business
Executive or decision-maker within public agencies, consulting firms, or construction organizations
Academic professional or researcher in civil engineering or related fields
Recognized leader or advocate within the Asian American professional or business community
- ✓ Provide strategic advice to IAACE leadership on programs, partnerships, and long-term vision
- ✓ Support career development, mentorship, and entrepreneurship initiatives for Asian American engineers
- ✓ Offer guidance on industry best practices, business growth, and professional advancement
- ✓ Assist with outreach to public agencies, private firms, educational institutions, and community organizations
- ✓ Serve as an ambassador for IAACE within professional and civic networks
- ✓ Participate in advisory meetings, workshops, panels, or special initiatives as requested
